Provisioning of IT Infrastructure by Custodians of Customs Stations as per “
Handling of Cargo in Customs Area Regulations” - reg.
Please refer to this office
instructions of even No. dated 12th October, 10 regarding salient
features of “CBEC Partner Connectivity Solution”.
2. The “CBEC
Partner Connectivity Solution”, which provides connectivity and infrastructure
solution for ICDs/ CFSs not covered under CBEC WAN/ LAN Project and other
agencies requiring connectivity with CBEC Data Center, has been revised based
on the fresh requirements emerging from the customs field formations. Certain
important changes made in the said document are as follows:
a)
Use
of Windows PC directly with a Line Printer without the use of Linux based Print
Server is not recommended.
b)
Compatibility
matrix detailing a list of make/ model of equipment already tried and found
working has been specified.
c)
Connectivity
options have been elaborated.
For
further details you may kindly refer to the revised document and Compatibility
Matrix (Annexure A1) which are enclosed. It may be noted that this matrix is
based on experience till date and may revision in future based on further
experience. In addition the formats for Non-disclosure agreement which CBEC
Partners are to sign with the jurisdictional Commissioner of Customs and the
Infrastructure Check List are also enclosed.
3. These
documents are also available at www.cbec.gov.in
and www.icegate.gov.in. The details of
the revised ‘CBEC Partner Connectivity Solution’ may be shared with ICD/CFS and
other agencies within your jurisdiction which require connectivity with CBEC
